Raudonasis sausas
In the usual creative free spirit of Niepoort, in the past few years we decided to test vinifying some of our wines in clay amphorae. After several experiments, in 2018 the winery produced a wine which we liked very much indeed – the Voyeur! After many months of ageing, we opened the various amphorae in the Quinta de Nápoles and created the ideal blend offering the right combination of freshness, good acidity and lightness. This wine’s lively, light and radiant colour reveals some brick red tones. On the nose, refreshing, delicate and complex aromas of blossoms, red fruits such as redcurrant and raspberry as well as hints of tobacco appear. Its elegant palate offers a pleasant roundness and length with excellent acidity.
Serve at 14-16 °C with light and simple dishes as well as comfort food
Niepoort is an independent family business since 1842. Through five generations, the business passed successfully from one Niepoort to the next Niepoort and in most cases older and younger generation worked side by side for a long period. At this time, we are enthusiastically looking forward to the future sixth generation, anticipating close collaboration
