Fruit and berry semi dry
This wine, named after the city of Memel, is crafted according to an old recipe inherited from our grandparents. It is said that this recipe was passed down from generation to generation, with its origins reaching as far back as the times of the Teutonic Knights. Many years of accumulated winemaking experience and a passion for the craft have allowed us to create a unique wine, renowned for its exquisite taste and aroma.
A wine the colour of the setting sun on a windy summer evening, with a harmonious aroma of raspberries. On the nose, notes of smouldering embers, cranberry preserves, wormwood, and dried petals.
On the palate, an elegant wine with refreshing acidity, brimming with the thoughts, sensations, and feelings of our forebears.
Residual sugar content in the wine — approximately 28 g/l.
Recommended to serve at 10–12 °C with white meat, poultry dishes and cured meats.
Memel Wine is located on the Lithuanian coast, in the Klaipėda region between Priekulė and Dreverna. It is a place where sea winds, fertile land, and the calm rhythm of the seaside come together to shape a distinctive wine character – fresh, pure, and full of natural energy.
The winery has consciously chosen small-batch production over mass volume, focusing on hands-on craftsmanship. This approach allows for full control at every stage, from careful fruit selection to bottling, ensuring precision and quality in every wine.
Special attention is given to Lithuanian berries and fruits, whose character is best expressed in this coastal climate. Cooler summers, longer ripening periods, and fresh maritime air give the fruit vibrant acidity, natural aromatics, and a distinct sense of freshness that defines the style of the wines.
Memel Wine is dedicated to preserving the true nature of the fruit – without artificial sweetness or excessive intervention. The wines are clean, balanced, and expressive, allowing natural flavors to speak clearly and honestly.
Limited production is an essential part of the winery’s philosophy. Each vintage has its own unique identity and is never identical to the previous one. This artisanal approach reflects a commitment to quality over quantity and a belief in the lasting value of authentic, carefully crafted wine.
