The name Markowitsch undoubtedly holds a strong position among the most prominent wine producers in the picturesque Carnuntum region of Austria. Their extensive range of white and red wines, characterized by diverse price points and high quality, is elegant and appealing to every wine enthusiast. This innovative winemaker is constantly seeking new ways to unlock the unique nuances of the Carnuntum terroir, actively experimenting with oak barrels of various sizes and from different producers. It is here that some of Austria's most interesting and highly regarded ‘Pinot Noir’ wines are born, often compared to the examples of Burgundy for their subtlety and elegance. Wine Style Markowitsch wines are characterized by expressiveness, excellent balance, and elegance. They harmoniously blend fruitiness, minerality, and subtle oak notes, perfectly reflecting the character of the Carnuntum region. White wines, among which ‘Grüner Veltliner’ and ‘Weissburgunder’ (Pinot Blanc) dominate, are fresh, mineral-driven, with vibrant aromas of fruit and herbs. Red wines, especially ‘Pinot Noir’ and ‘Zweigelt’, are elegant, with smooth tannins, juicy aromas of red and dark berries, and subtle spices. Prestigious Vineyards Weingut Markowitsch manages vineyards in the best locations of the Carnuntum region, where the soils and microclimate are ideal for growing high-quality grapes: Vineyards situated on slopes with clay, gravel, and limestone soils impart minerality and complexity to the wines. A favorable climate with warm days and cool nights ensures optimal grape ripening and aroma development. Meticulous work in the vineyard and cellar allows Markowitsch to create wines of exceptional character. Aging and Drinking Period Markowitsch wines are crafted for enjoyment both in their youth and after aging in the bottle. Their excellent balance and structure allow the wines to develop successfully over time, gaining even more complexity and subtlety. This is especially true for their top-tier ‘Pinot Noir’ wines, which can age beautifully for many years.

Poli Distillerie

Poli Distillerie

Italy Italy

Poli Distillerie – A Legacy of Italian Grappa Passion Since 1898 It all began in 1898, when straw hat maker GioBatta Poli, driven by a passion for grappa, built a small still and began visiting local winemakers to distill the leftover grape pomace after winemaking. What started as a modest hobby soon became a family tradition, carried on by his sons and now passionately upheld by his grandson, Jacopo Poli – one of Italy’s most renowned modern grappa producers. Craftsmanship and an Unwavering Commitment to Quality At the Poli distillery, located in the Veneto region, five core principles guide every aspect of production: Only fresh, healthy raw material is used – delivered daily in quantities that can be processed immediately. The pomace is distilled without delay – never stored. Distillation is performed using traditional copper stills and historical methods. Every step is carried out with dedication and true craftsmanship. Deep respect is shown to both the product and the consumer. A Taste That Speaks for Itself These principles enable the Poli family to produce grappas of remarkable quality – from soft and floral to more intense expressions rich in spice and fruit notes. Poli grappas and liqueurs are recognized and celebrated around the world, proudly featured on the menus of top-tier restaurants. They stand as a true symbol of Italian distilling artistry.

De Martino

De Martino

Chile Chile

De Martino Winery is a family-owned estate founded in 1934 by Pietro De Martino, an Italian immigrant who established ideal conditions for wine production in the Maipo Valley. The winery consistently invests in organic viticulture and sustainable farming, aiming to reveal the diversity of Chile's regions and the authentic expression of terroir. Their winemakers constantly travel through different Chilean locations, seeking unique plots for the production of individual, exceptional wines, striving to prove that Chile can produce top-quality wines. De Martino was the first to export Carmenere wine to foreign countries in 1996, and currently, their single-vineyard wines consistently receive high ratings from wine critics, enthusiasts, and professionals alike. Wine Style De Martino wines are characterized by fresh acidity, fruitiness, and earthy notes, along with a distinctive minerality – qualities that are somewhat less common in New World wines. Carmenere: Intense, with subtle notes of spices, smoke, and earth, which harmoniously blend with soft tannins. Chardonnay and Syrah: Elegant variations where the influence of traditional oak barrels adds extra complexity to the wines. Prestigious Vineyards The grapes used for De Martino wines are grown in unique Chilean regions: Isla de Maipo: A region with a Mediterranean climate and distinctive soil that imparts a special character to the wines. Itata: Traditional vineyards where classic methods are employed to reveal the authenticity of the terroir. Aging and Consumption Period The wines are aged using both modern and traditional technologies, allowing them to maintain their authenticity and emphasize the local terroir. While most De Martino wines are enjoyable upon release, some variations have the potential for long aging, developing even more complex notes.
