Wedding anniversaries, corporate milestones, or significant birthdays—these are moments you want to remember and celebrate in a special way. A mature wine from the exact year a significant event occurred is one of the most personal and elegant gifts. As wine ages, not only does its color change, but its aromatic bouquet evolves as well: primary fresh fruit aromas are gradually replaced by complex notes of dried berries, leather, tobacco, or forest floor.
Old, mature wine is delicate, making its serving a ritual in itself. Gift the bottle alongside an elegant decanter, which will help separate the sediment formed over time and allow the wine to "breathe." We also highly recommend utilizing our gift packaging service—a sturdy wooden box will add even more prestige to the gift and protect the bottle during transport.
Certainly not. The vast majority of wines produced worldwide are meant to be consumed young, within their first few years. Only wines with high levels of natural acidity, tannins, alcohol, or sugar (depending on the style) are suitable for long-term aging. It is precisely these time-resistant beverages that we carefully select for this category.
Red wines older than 10–15 years naturally form sediment in the bottle, and their corks become more fragile. Before opening such a bottle, it is recommended to keep it upright for at least a few days so the sediment settles at the bottom. Extract the cork very carefully (ideally using a special two-prong Ah-So corkscrew). Once open, the wine should be slowly and gently poured into a decanter. Please note: extremely old wines (30+ years) should not be decanted for long, as extended contact with oxygen can quickly dissipate their delicate, fragile aromas.
