Baltasis sausas
Kaseler Nies’chen is Kesselstatt’s best vineyard on the banks of the Ruwer River, a 4.4-hectare vineyard growing in blue slate soil on the southern slope with a slope of 60-70°. The wines of this vineyard have the highest level of minerality of all Mosel-Saar-Ruwer Rieslings. All the elements in this Riesling create a tremendous ensemble. Apple, blackcurrant and star fruit on the palate, complemented by a long, minerally finish. This is a wine bursting with energy and ageing potential.
Serve at 10-12 °C with fish, white meat, pasta and mushroom dishes, soft cheeses.
The Kaseler Nies'chen vineyard is a benchmark site alongside the Ruwer, a tributary of the Mosel. Dry, piercing and remarkably linear, it's a mineral-focused white offering delicate pear and grapefruit flavors struck by steel, salt and cooling river rocks. Light footed but supple in texture, it's a quiet yet powerful Riesling that needs a bit more time to open. At peak from 2023–2030
The Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt winery is recognized worldwide as one of the best producers of German Riesling grape wines from the Mosel, Saar and Ruwer regions. All vineyards are family run. Kesselstatt has always been able to emphasize quality. Strict harvest restrictions, modern and excellent wine storage conditions ensure that the wines show a strong character. Only Riesling grapes are grown on the 36-hectare Mosel Saar-Ruwer river valleys. The aim of the Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt is to take into account the Terroir and maintain the freshness, aromas and fertility of the wines. All wines are fermented with local yeast at very low temperatures. Wine wines are consistently highly valued by wine professionals and connoisseurs.
