Aged for 19 months in new French oak barrels. 100% Tempranillo primarily from 40 to 80 years old grapes from nine different villages in the province of Burgos and Valladolid. The harvest was done by hand, in small boxes of 15 kilos and thoroughly inspected, bunch by bunch, on the selection table. Very deep red intensity. On the nose intense ripe dark fruit and ink along with elegant mineral notes arise. On the palate this wine is robust, structured, and its tannins are silky and smooth. It is a long and full of nuances wine with a good ageing potential.

Serving recommendations

Serve at 16-18 °C with game, Iberian ham, stews.

The Aalto project was founded in February 1999, in the prestigious winemaking region of Ribera del Duero (Spain).
The foundational aim of Mariano Garcia and Javier Zaccagnini in AALTO was to make a wine that shows a different personality, of high quality and being a faithful reflection of distinct locations, blending them at the end of the aging process to obtain balance and complexity.
