Red dry
The De Martino Familia Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, the pinnacle of De Martino's winemaking and twice named Chile's best premium wine. This exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon offers a profoundly complex aroma and a rich, concentrated flavor, promising an unforgettable experience for discerning palates.
Wine displays a deep, very dark red color. It offers a great complex aroma with abundant fruit and concentration, featuring notes of violet, ripe fruit, cedar, and a toasted nuance. On the palate, it is very rich, concentrated, and flavorful, with a robust yet fresh profile hinting at dark berries, cedar, and roasted coffee. The balanced, long aftertaste solidifies its remarkable quality.
This prestige wine hails from a special vineyard in the Maipo Valley, where the Cabernet Sauvignon vines are 40 years old. The lean, well-drained soil, rich in gravel and sand, provides ideal conditions for deep root penetration and nutrient extraction.
Grapes are hand-harvested at optimal ripeness and undergo a very careful selection before destemming and crushing. Fermentation begins with natural yeasts in small tanks, followed by an extended maceration with the skins for an additional week. The wine then matures for 18 months in French oak barrels.
Serve at 16-18 °C with meat dishes with richer sauces, wild mushroom stews, harder cheeses.
De Martino Winery is a family-owned estate founded in 1934 by Pietro De Martino, an Italian immigrant who established ideal conditions for wine production in the Maipo Valley. The winery consistently invests in organic viticulture and sustainable farming, aiming to reveal the diversity of Chile's regions and the authentic expression of terroir. Their winemakers constantly travel through different Chilean locations, seeking unique plots for the production of individual, exceptional wines, striving to prove that Chile can produce top-quality wines. De Martino was the first to export Carmenere wine to foreign countries in 1996, and currently, their single-vineyard wines consistently receive high ratings from wine critics, enthusiasts, and professionals alike.

Aging and Consumption Period
The wines are aged using both modern and traditional technologies, allowing them to maintain their authenticity and emphasize the local terroir. While most De Martino wines are enjoyable upon release, some variations have the potential for long aging, developing even more complex notes.
