Baltasis sausas
Bright pale yellow, enticing aromas of yellow fruits, hay, wet stone and sweet spiciness. On the palate there is an impressive complexity paired with hints of tannin and strong acidity. A connection between concentration and lightness.
Serve at 8-10 °C with pork, shellfish, spicy food, poultry, cured meat.
This mineral masterpiece is very finely nuanced, but it doesn’t mess around, rather it makes a bold statement of intent. Very complex nose of wet stones, rhubarb, white peaches and flowers. Dense yet delicate, structured and filigree, this medium-bodied wine shoots across the palate with a linearity that reminds me of Australian dry riesling, but is married to wonderful wild-herb delicacy. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold.
The estate, founded in 1880 as part of a wine merchant company, has been owned by the Breuer family since the beginning of the 20th century. Georg Breuer enlarged the estate and increased the export of wines. His sons Bernhard and Heinrich and later Bernhard’s daughter Theresa expanded the vineyard size to 40 hectares in the best Rüdesheim, Rauenthal and Lorch sites. From the early 80’s Bernhard Breuer’s efforts gained an international reputation for the estate. Today it is managed by his daughter Theresa Breuer and production manager of many years, Hermann Schmoranz, with the assistance of cellar master Markus Lundén.
