Silvery, lustrous golden yellow. Delicate aromas of herbal savouriness, lime zest and green stone fruit and a hint of biscuit on the nose. The palate is very juicy and precise, with an elegantly structured mousse and a gripping palate with good acidity and a chalky underlying minerality. It has a delicately nutty finish with underlying notes of preserved lemon.
Founded in 1991, the Legras & Haas Champagne House is led by the trio of brothers: Rémi, Olivier, and Jérôme Legras. They are committed to creating genuine and sincere wines. Their family roots are deeply embedded in Chouilly, a Grand Cru village situated at the northern tip of the Côte des Blancs. This area is renowned for its exceptional terroir, and it's here that the Legras-Haas family cultivates 18 hectares of land, exclusively planted with Chardonnay grapes. Beyond Chouilly, their vineyards extend into other esteemed regions such as Les Riceys and Vitry-le-François, contributing to the unique aromatic profile that sets their champagnes apart. The meticulous attention to detail in the vineyard and winery ensures that their champagnes have a remarkable capacity for aging. With time, the flavors evolve, highlighting ripe fruit aromas and a maturing complexity. To best experience the delicate interplay of fruitiness and minerality, it's recommended to enjoy these champagnes within 5 to 6 years from purchase.
