The vineyard covers more than 100 hectares of vineyards growing at altitudes of up to 500 metres on terraced limestone soils, separated by traditional dry-stone walls. This environment creates a unique terroir that gives the wines freshness, minerality and elegance.
Since 2014, when Yann Pineau acquired the farm, Château de L'Escarelle has been modernising and converting to organic viticulture. The farm has been equipped with advanced technologies such as modern presses, temperature-controlled stainless steel fermentation tanks and a precise grape sorting system, which allows it to produce wines of the highest quality.
The winery works closely with the LPO PACA (French League for the Protection of Birds) on biodiversity research, including butterfly monitoring and conservation projects. The winery's philosophy is based on sustainability, respect for the natural heritage and the desire to create “a little corner of paradise, as close to nature as possible”.
