Red dry
Traditional whole-cluster vinification, then maceration for approx. 25 days. For this cuvée we practice a natural method without adding sulphite, which corresponds to the typicality of this terroir. A fruity, pure and mineral wine, with floral notes of violet and small black fruits (blackcurrant, currant) and black pepper on the finish. In the mouth it offers beautiful melted tannins and a balance on the freshness.
Serve at 16-18 °C with grilled red meats, game and Burgundy cheeses.
This wine with no added sulfur comes from vines planted in 1911. It is structured while also full of blackberry fruits. Ripe tannins complete a concentrated wine. Drink now.
Lord Jules de Souzy, lived in Château de la Terrière during the 19th century and developed its reputation for the fine wines it produced. The range of wines Jules de Souzy – our winemaker range – is named in his honour. Jules de Souzy grapes are sourced from high density vineyards primarily in the Mâconnais and Beaujolais, and the wines vinified using traditional processes. We have an overriding respect for quality and the sustainable approaches utilised in the different vineyards.
