Domaine Ponsot Cuvée des Alouettes Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru 2021 is a rare Aligoté from a prestigious vineyard. This wine is the only Premier Cru Aligoté in Burgundy.
The 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos des Monts Luisants Blanc offers aromas of lime zest, white flowers, and freshly baked bread. The palate is medium-bodied, bright, and satiny, with tangy acids and a chalky finish.
This wine hails from the 1er Cru section of Morey's "Monts Luisants" vineyard, much of which is now "AOC Clos de la Roche." The 23–30-year-old vines are rooted in white oolitic limestone, and the vineyards are still plowed by horse.
Serve at 8-10 °C with fresh oysters, scallops with lemon and herbs or grilled chicken breast with white wine sauce.
