Knoll's 2021 Ried Kreutles Loibner Grüner Veltliner Federspiel comes through with clear, fine and elegant, delicately smoky fruit. Quite rich on the palate for a Federspiel but elegant, fresh and saline, this is a dense but also quite persistent Veltliner with the freshness and clarity of a Riesling. It has good, quite taut and spicy length with savoriness. Tasted at Schloss Dürnstein, Wachau, in September 2022.
