White dry
Giuseppe Quintarelli Bianco Secco Veneto IGP 2023 is an exceptional dry white wine from the Veneto region of Italy, created by the legendary winery Giuseppe Quintarelli, known for its top-quality wines. This wine is a delicate and refined creation that reflects tradition and craftsmanship.
After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed and allowed to macerate for about 12 hours at low temperature. Fermentation takes place in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks using natural yeasts. After fermentation, the wine is aged on the lees (sur lie) for several months, with periodic stirring (batonnage) to obtain additional complexity and texture. Less than 1% of the wine is enriched with the appassimento method using Passito Amabile del Cerè wine, which provides additional nuances of flavor. The aging takes place in both stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, in order to maintain the freshness of the wine and highlight its minerality.
The nose of Giuseppe Quintarelli Bianco Secco Veneto IGP 2023 reveals subtle aromas of ripe yellow fruits such as peaches and melons, along with soft mineral and honey nuances. The wine is medium-bodied, with well-balanced acidity and a long, clean aftertaste. It is an elegant and harmonious wine with excellent aging potential.
Tiekti 12- 14 ° C prie paukštienos patiekalų, riebesnės baltos žuvies, rizoto su šparagais, minkštų šviežių sūrių.
The Quintarelli Giuseppe 2023 Bianco Secco is a traditional blend of Garganega, Trebbiano Toscano, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Saorin. That fifth grape is the local name for Tocai or Friuliano, and as far as I know, only the Quintarelli family still refers to it by its local name "Saorin." The wine is partially aged in oak, and the rest goes into stainless steel vat. A tiny percentage of the blend sees appassimento. This is achieved by adding a small part of the air-dried Passito Amabile del Cerè to this wine. The Bianco Secco offers lots of sweet melon and peach over a medium-rich texture. The bouquet is laced with pretty mineral notes. The previous 2021 and 2022 vintages are more aromatic, but with the 2023 vintage, this wine returns to a classic Soave-like profile.
Giuseppe Quintarelli is often referred to as the "godfather of Amarone," and the farm named after him is hiding from prying eyes without making the phone or address public. There is no website either. But the reputation of wine speaks for itself. The family farm, which covers just 11 hectares of limestone and basalt soil, produces very little wine every year. As if bottles marked with hands, a pen, labels adorn the vineyards of the world’s most famous restaurants. It is a farm that cherishes the old traditions of Amarone production (because it was created by itself), drying the 'Corvina', 'Corvinone' and 'Rondinella' grapes for as long as 4 months. Amarone is produced only during a particularly good harvest year. If, after 8 years of maturing in barrels, the wine still does not meet the ultra-high requirements for Amarone, the wine is released as 'Rosso del Bepi', a simple red wine from the Veneto region, although the taste is far from simple. Amarone Riserva is also released in special years. Even the red winery named after Valpolicella's appeal is produced with special attention - the grapes are dried in wooden boxes for 2 months and only then the world's most famous Valpolicella wine is made. The winery is also distinguished by the fact that Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes are also produced, making Primi Fiore and the famous Alzero wine. The winery still follows the traditions cherished by the late Giuseppe - in the tasting hall, wine is tasted during a non-sacral ceremony, where every drop of wine is cherished and spittoons are not used.
