Baltasis sausas
Vynas gaminamas iš mažo derlingumo, senų (1974 m. pasodintų) 'Chenin Blanc' vynuogynų. Vynuogės skinamos jau pilnai sunokusios. Dirvožemis turtingas geležimi, moliu bei smėliu. Vynas 12 mėnesių brandintas su mielių nuosėdomis prancūziško ąžuolo statinėse. Matthew Duke spontaniškai prisidėjo prie vyno pavadinimo The FMC įvertinęs šį vyną kaip: "This is frickin marvelous chenin”. (Tai nuostabus šeninas).
Svarus, intensyvus, minerališkas sausas baltasis vynas kvepia džiovintais abrikosais, medumi bei vanile. Vynas, turintis itin gerą brandos potencialą.
Patiekti 10-12 °C su švelniomis jūros gėrybėmis, vėžiagyviais. Puikiai tinka su egzotiškais rytietiškais prieskoniais pagardintais patiekalais.
Fantastic intensity of fruit and spice here with notes of apricots, cedar, spiced apples and mangoes. It’s full-bodied but elegant, creamy and delicious, with a long and lively finish.
The 2022 The FMC, crafted entirely from Chenin Blanc, showcases a bouquet of mineral lemon notes and citrus blossoms, complemented by underripe peach, ripe yellow apples and a nutty undertone. Medium-bodied, the wine presents fresh, lush peach blossoms on the palate. Transitioning from medium to full-bodied, it offers greater textural freshness, ripeness and complexity before coming to a long, food-friendly finish.
"Our idea was simple - to create the best wine. We didn't have anything to show for the first four or five years," says Ken Forrester. But when he brought a bottle of wine to London for Mattew Duke, he got an incredible reaction from him. It was an expression of Chenin Blanc from South Africa unknown to wine experts. Matthew Duke was not restrained and described this wine as "This is frickin marvelous chenin." The philosophy of this winery is very simple: to produce the best wines. Although not certified, Ken Forrester wines are produced in an effort to meet sustainable and environmentally friendly standards.
