Acelum is Roman for 'sharp place', referring to the hilly nature of the area where the vineyard grows. A sparkling wine with elegant notes and delicate aromas, with a bouquet of fruit and flowers.
Serve at 6-8 °C with light snacks, fruit platter.
Pale yellow with light silver reflections, clear and bright. Fine and persistent mousse. The nose opens with delicate floral notes and gives way to more intense notes of ripe fresh fruit: apple, pear, lychee and a slight hint of citrus. The palate is fresh, full and lively and there are light mineral notes on the finish. The wine has good persistence and a fruity sweetness.
Andreola winery, located just outside Valdobbiadene on the Col San Martino, produces Prosecco with a very distinctive flavor. Here the landscape is completely different with high hills with steep slopes and terraced vineyards. Stefano Pola, who runs the winery, draws on the long tradition of winemaking in the region, but does not shy away from modern solutions to improve quality. The family farm has 70 hectares of vineyards, dominated by Glera grapes, but not forgetting the old local varieties such as Verdiso, Bianchetta and Perera. In recent years, Andreola has received much praise from wine critics. Their first wine, Vigneto Dirupo Brut Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG, which debuted back in 1984, was awarded the highest accolade of the Gamberro Rosso in 2019 - the Tre Bicchieri. Not surprisingly, this wine also won the best wine title at the 2019 Lithuanian Wine Championship.
