Fortified wine semi sweet
Grapes originated from single vineyards, located in the South and North Coast of Madeira Island. Arresting of fermentation takes place at the desired degree of sweetness by adding vinic alcohol.
This Single Harvest results from the mixture of grape must obtained from grapes originated from single vineyards, located in the South and North Coast of Madeira Island. Ricardo Diogo harvested the grapes one week before they reached their full maturation and used a horizontal screw press, obtaining with these two practices, a greater acidity in the musts. The aging process began in March 2011 by the traditional Canteiro method, using old French oak casks. In November of 2023, 2700 units were bottled, all individually numbered.

Vinhos Barbeito was founded in 1946 by Mário Barbeito de Vasconcelos and has since then always been run by members family. Nature plays an important role in the production of their wines. They take advantage of the fact that they are aged in three distinct warehouses, all with different climatic characteristics and different sun exposers. This fact enables them to obtain an enormous variety of wines aged by the Canteiro method. All of these characteristics contribute to Barbeito's unique style: long and fresh acidity after taste.
