Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 is an exceptional, extremely limited edition wine from the heart of Napa Valley, California. This is not just any wine – it is a cult gem of the wine world, renowned for its extraordinary depth, longevity and impeccable balance.
Aroma: Complex and expressive – blackcurrants, blackberries, graphite, dark chocolate, subtle nuances of cedar and roasted vanilla.
Taste: Full-bodied, complex, yet extremely refined. Silky tannins, excellent acidity and amazing depth with a long, multi-layered aftertaste.
The wine was aged for 20 months in French oak barrels (mostly new).
Serve at 16-18 °C with aged beef (steaks, prime rib), duck or lamb with herb crust, dishes with black truffles, hard cheeses (Comté, Parmigiano Reggiano)
The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon was tasted as a finished blend barrel sample. Deep purple-black in color, it delivers fantastically pure blackcurrants and fresh blackberries scents, with wafts of crushed rocks, lavender, clove oil and cinnamon stick, plus a hint of mossy bark. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm, finely grained texture to support the ripe, rich, juicy fruit, offset by amazing freshness and energy, finishing long and layered.
Known previously as the Araujo Estate, Eisele Vineyard is now owned by François Pinault of Château Latour in Bordeaux.
First planted to vines in the 1880s, Eisele Vineyard sits in the northeast Napa Valley, just east of Calistoga at the base of the Palisades Mountain range. Farmed organically since 1998 and biodynamically since 2000, the site has been principally dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon for the last fifty years. Beginning with the inaugural release bearing the Eisele name in 1971, this iconic vineyard has received consistent recognition for possessing one of the great terroirs of Napa Valley. The wines invariably express the exceptional depth, elegance and longevity which are hallmarks of the Eisele Vineyard.
Eisele's vision is nothing less than to re-embrace the long history of Vineyard while realizing the full potential of this remarkable estate.
