White dry
Georg Breuer "GB Sauvage" Riesling is a wine that speaks of the wild, natural Rheingau terroir and an uncompromising style.
The wine boasts an expressive aroma, revealing notes of peach, Antonovka apple, honeysuckle, lemon zest, cantaloupe melon, and wet slate. On the palate, it is a juicy wine with vibrant acidity, dominated by apple and lemon tones, leading to a long, mineral finish. A medium-bodied structure and elegant balance lend this Riesling versatility and a vivacious character. The grapes are sourced from various terroirs, giving the wine a complex style, and grow in distinctive soils of quartzite and black slate, which impart a unique mineral note.
Serve at 8–10 °C with marinated salmon, smoked fish pie, grilled chicken, seafood, sashimi and sushi, or fresh rich cheeses.
The white-peach flavor of this very well balanced, barely medium-bodied dry riesling is delightful. The crisp green- and yellow-apple character at the finish pulls you back for more. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold. Screw cap. Monday, Jul 21, 2025
The estate, founded in 1880 as part of a wine merchant company, has been owned by the Breuer family since the beginning of the 20th century. Georg Breuer enlarged the estate and increased the export of wines. His sons Bernhard and Heinrich and later Bernhard’s daughter Theresa expanded the vineyard size to 40 hectares in the best Rüdesheim, Rauenthal and Lorch sites. From the early 80’s Bernhard Breuer’s efforts gained an international reputation for the estate. Today it is managed by his daughter Theresa Breuer and production manager of many years, Hermann Schmoranz, with the assistance of cellar master Markus Lundén.
