Red dry
A Pauillac wine expressing the classic character of 'Cabernet Sauvignon', with aromas of black and red fruit, fresh acidity and soft, well-integrated tannins. The 2014 vintage is rich while retaining elegance and freshness.
The nose reveals blackberry, blackcurrant, redcurrant and forest berries, complemented by notes of tobacco, cedar, smoke and subtle spice. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, dense and silky in texture, with lively acidity and fine tannins. The finish is long, with lingering notes of cassis, smoke and spice.
The Château Lynch-Moussas vineyards are located in the Pauillac appellation, near Château Batailley. The soils are dominated by gravel deposited by the Garonne River and sandy siliceous soils, providing good drainage and favourable conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon ripening. Château Lynch-Moussas is owned by the Castéja family, and the vineyards cover approximately 35 hectares.
The 2014 wine is made from 79% 'Cabernet Sauvignon' and 21% 'Merlot'. The grapes are harvested by hand, and fermentation lasts 15–20 days. The wine is aged for 18 months in oak barrels, approximately 50% of which are new.
Serve at a temperature of 16–18 °C; it pairs well with lamb loin with porcini mushrooms, beef tenderloin with mushroom sauce, or venison stew.
Pauillac komunoje įsikūrusiam ūkiui priklauso 60 ha vynuogynų, apsodintų Cabernet Sauvignon ir Merlot vynmedžiais, kuriuose dominuoja žvirgždo, kalkakemnio ir molio dirvožemis. Po fermentacijos plieno talpose vynas dažniausiai apie 18 mėnesių yra brandinamas prancūziško ąžuolo statinėse, kurių 60% yra naujos.
