Red dry
This wine is produced from the approximately 1-hectare “Les Fournières” vineyard located within the Aloxe-Corton appellation. It combines ripe fruit, firm structure, and the elegant balance characteristic of Burgundy.
The aroma reveals notes of red cherries, wild strawberries, and ripe raspberries. These are complemented by nuances of violet flowers, spices, light earthy tones, and subtle forest floor notes. In the glass, more mature Pinot Noir characteristics emerge – hints of cherry stones, delicate tobacco, and subtle oak.
On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, yet shows good concentration and structure. The intensity of the fruit is balanced by lively acidity and firm but polished tannins. The flavour profile is dominated by cherries, red berries, subtle spices, and mineral accents.
“Les Fournières” is one of the Aloxe-Corton Premier Cru climats, located in the northern part of the Côte de Beaune, near the famous Corton hill. The vineyards are characterised by clay and limestone soils.
The grapes at Domaine Antonin Guyon are harvested by hand, and ecological viticulture principles are applied in the vineyards. The wine is produced using traditional Burgundian methods and aged in French oak.
Serve at a temperature of 15–17 °C; pairs well with roast venison, veal cutlet with mushroom sauce, and aged Époisses or Comté cheese.
One of Burgundy's largest family-owned wine estates, managing approximately 50 hectares of vineyards across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. The estate was established in the 1960s, when Antonin Guyon began acquiring vineyard parcels in some of Burgundy's most prestigious appellations. Today, the family's holdings extend from Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny in the north to Meursault, Volnay, and Corton in the south, allowing the domaine to produce wines that reflect a wide range of Burgundian terroirs, from regional appellations to Grand Cru vineyards.
Particular attention is given to preserving the identity of each vineyard site. Grapes are harvested by hand, carefully sorted, and all wines are vinified and aged at the estate. Red wines are fermented in wooden vats, while white wines are fermented in oak barrels. The ageing regime, including the proportion of new oak, is tailored to the origin and structure of each wine. Since 2018, Domaine Antonin Guyon has been certified organic, reflecting its long-term commitment to environmentally responsible viticulture.
The philosophy of Domaine Antonin Guyon is centred on expressing the unique character of each vineyard. Working exclusively with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the estate produces a portfolio dominated by Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines. Each vineyard parcel is vinified separately, preserving the distinctive identity of its terroir.
Today, the estate's vineyards span some of Burgundy's most renowned villages, including Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Aloxe-Corton, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, and Volnay. This geographical diversity enables Domaine Antonin Guyon to showcase the influence of Burgundy's varied soils, topography, and microclimates, offering a comprehensive expression of the Côte d'Or through its wines.
