Crisp, rich and buttery cookies inspired by the traditional British Christmas mince pie. Inside is a soft filling with port, brandy, browned butter, candied fruits, citrus peel and warming spices. Each cookie is topped with a pecan, adding a delicate nutty finish. Crisp on the outside and soft in the centre – a rich and festive treat, perfect for winter evenings.
Ingredients: port, brandy and browned butter flavoured mincemeat filling (33%) (sugar, apple purée (preservative – acetic acid), raisins (16%), sultanas (13%), glucose-fructose syrup, currants (4%), brandy (3.7%) (60% ABV), Ruby Port (3.7%) (19.5% ABV), candied mixed citrus peel (3%) (orange peel, glucose-fructose syrup, lemon peel, sugar, acidity regulator – citric acid; preservative), rapeseed oil, corn starch, mixed spices (coriander seeds, cinnamon, ginger, caraway, nutmeg, cloves), concentrated lemon juice, gelling agent – pectin, natural flavouring), fortified wheat flour, salted butter (cream, salt), pecan nuts (10%), caster sugar, soft dark brown sugar (sugar, cane molasses), golden syrup, mixed spices (coriander, cassia cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, fennel, nutmeg), water, nutmeg, corn starch, raising agents (sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate), eggs, orange zest, natural orange flavouring, raising agent – ammonium bicarbonate.
