White dry
Step into the intriguing world of Lebanese wine with Massaya Blanc Lebanon Beqaa Valley 2022. This is more than just a white wine; it's a testament to ancient winemaking heritage blended with modern expertise. Don't miss the chance to explore this unique expression from the heart of the Beqaa Valley, a region celebrated for its quality.
Massaya Blanc Lebanon Beqaa Valley 2022 is a captivating white wine that boasts beautiful and complex aromas with hints of white flowers and fine spices. The palate offers a delightful fruitiness, maintaining a structured and elegant profile throughout the tasting.
Its finely spicy character stems from the indigenous ‘Obeïdi’ grape variety, which is a key part of its blend alongside ‘Clairette’, ‘Sauvignon Blanc’, and ‘Chardonnay’. These grapes thrive in the fertile Beqaa Valley, Lebanon’s most renowned wine-growing area, at an altitude of approximately 1000 meters above sea level, enjoying a unique terroir that contributes to the wine's freshness.
Massaya is a collaborative effort led by brothers Sami and Ramzi Ghosn, in partnership with distinguished French winemakers Frédéric and Daniel Brunier from Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe (Rhône Valley) and Dominique Hebrard (formerly of Château Cheval Blanc in Bordeaux).
The wine undergoes an 8-month aging period on its lees in foudres and demi-muids before bottling.
Serve at 8-10 °C with chicken or turkey mince, stews of this meat, rice-stuffed vine leaves, spinach-stuffed pastries.
