Château La Croix du Casse is a prestigious Bordeaux wine estate located in the Pomerol appellation, one of the most renowned areas for red Bordeaux wines, celebrated for producing elegant and complex expressions. The estate is situated in the southern part of the Pomerol plateau, in one of the finest terroir zones of the region.
The vineyards of Château La Croix du Casse cover approximately 9.5 hectares. The soils consist of sand, gravel, iron oxide, and clay layers. This soil composition gives the wines a distinctive terroir character, expressive minerality, and a fruit profile typical of the Pomerol appellation.
The vineyards are planted with classic Pomerol grape varieties: around 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, which are ideally suited to the local conditions. Their careful blending allows the creation of rich, elegant, and harmonious wines.
In 2005, the estate was acquired and revitalized by the Castéja (BCAP) family group, well known for its professional management and long-standing involvement with other prestigious Bordeaux estates. The property is managed by an experienced team with extensive expertise in crafting high-quality wines.
