"Château Rives Blanques" is a family-owned wine estate from the South of France, located in the Limoux appellation. This producer specializes exclusively in white wine and sparkling wine. Discover perfectly balanced, elegant French beverages that reflect the unique advantages of a cooler climate.
Read moreAlthough the estate is located in the southern Languedoc region, the vineyards grow at high altitudes near the Pyrenees mountains. For this reason, the climate here is significantly cooler than in surrounding areas. This allows Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, and the local Mauzac grapes to ripen slowly, retaining a natural, crisp acidity that provides the wine with longevity and exceptional freshness.
The Limoux region is famous as one of the oldest sparkling wine production areas in the world (historically predating Champagne). "Château Rives Blanques" offers traditionally crafted Blanquette de Limoux and Crémant de Limoux, featuring fine bubbles, and aromas of apples, flowers, and brioche. This is a wonderful, high-quality alternative to Champagne at a very attractive price.
Both the still and sparkling wines from this estate pair perfectly with fresh seafood, oysters, baked white fish, and poultry. They also wonderfully complement goat cheeses, which you can find and serve from our wine snacks section.
