What Makes the "Mastroberardino" Legacy Special?

Spanning more than 10 generations, the estate is located on the volcanic soils of the Irpinia zone, near Mount Vesuvius. It is this volcanic earth and significant temperature variations that provide the wines with exceptional minerality and longevity. All beverages are crafted to emphasize elegance and natural fruitiness, avoiding overly aggressive use of oak.

Taurasi and White Masterpieces

The producer's calling card is Taurasi DOCG wines, made from Aglianico grapes and often referred to as the "Barolo of the South." They feature powerful tannins, along with notes of cherries, plums, smoke, and spices. The estate is also famous for its white wines: the mineral-driven and structured Greco di Tufo, and the floral-scented Fiano di Avellino.

What Food to Pair With?

Robust Taurasi pairs perfectly with grilled meats, spicy stews, and venison. The white Greco and Fiano wines are indispensable with seafood, baked fish, and mozzarella cheese. Discover excellent Italian pairings and spreads in our wine snacks selection.
