Are only dry wines produced in the Odesa region?

What is special about the Telti-Kuruk grape?
This is an ancient and very rare grape variety whose name in Turkic means "fox tail" – a name given due to the specific shape of the grape cluster resembling a tail. Today, it is rightfully considered the calling card of Ukrainian white wines.
Are Odesa red wines worth aging?
Definitely. Especially red wines from Odesa Black or Cabernet Sauvignon grapes that have been aged in oak barrels have a firm tannin structure and can develop and soften beautifully in the bottle for 5 to 10 years.
