Red dry
Opus One 2021 is one of the most prestigious Napa Valley red wines, renowned for its expressive character, excellent balance and longevity. This premium wine reveals the best qualities of Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux grapes, which subtly merge into a rich and refined flavor palette.
Fermentation and maceration lasted 22 days. The wine was aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.
Opus One 2021 delights with intense aromas of blackberries, black currants, black cherries and plums. The wine reveals subtle notes of violets, black pepper and rose petals, creating a harmonious, seductive aromatic bouquet.
Smoothly layered, balanced flavors open up with juicy black fruits, complemented by nuances of orange peel, licorice and dark chocolate. The wine is characterized by soft, round tannins, refreshing acidity, and a creamy mouthfeel that unfolds into a long, elegant aftertaste.
Serve at a temperature of 16-18 °C with beef steaks/stews with forest mushrooms, mildly smoked beef sausage stew with red beans, game stews with vegetables.
An enticing aroma of violets, cherry blossoms, fresh blue and black fruit and great structure define this beautiful, age-worthy wine. Subtle layering of fruit and oak spices between firm, fine-grained and supportive tannins gives it a calm intensity. So elegant and polished. Hints of cinnamon and graphite accent blackcurrant and blueberry flavors that linger and grow in a long finish. Already attractive to drink, but best after 2029.

Opus One Winery is one of the most famous and prestigious wineries in California, located in the Oakville AVA, Napa Valley. Founded in 1978 as a partnership between two wine legends – Robert Mondavi (USA) and Baron Philippe de Rothschild (Château Mouton Rothschild, France), Opus One has pursued one goal from the beginning: to create world-class premium Bordeaux-style red wine.
The Oakville AVA is famous for its ideal climate for growing Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The winery manages about 55 hectares of vineyards, carefully maintained according to the principles of sustainable farming.
Grapes and winemaking
Opus One creates one main wine – Opus One Red Wine – and a secondary wine Overture. Both wines are made using five grape varieties from the classic Bordeaux blend:

• Malbec
Production process:
• Manual harvesting and optical sorting of grapes
• Fermentation with gravity systems (no pumps)
• Aging in 100% new French oak barrels for ~19–20 months
• Long bottle aging before release
