"Whisky Ambassador" is the UK's first and only accredited whisky training programme.
The Sommelier School of Lithuania offers the opportunity to take part in the Whisky Ambassador programme and obtain the only officially recognised Whisky Ambassador certificate in Scotland and the UK without leaving Lithuania.
The training programme is aimed at both professionals - sommeliers, bartenders, waiters and salespeople - and amateur whisky lovers who want to learn more about the drink.
If more than half of your team is Whisky Ambassador-certified, your company is entitled to use the Whisky Ambassador distinctive mark in your marketing material.
The Whisky Ambassador training course includes the history of Scotch whisky, the regions of Scotland and their specificities, whisky production and tasting, whisky sales, other whiskies from around the world, whisky cocktails, and practical exercises. The knowledge, skills and confidence gained in tasting, evaluating and recommending whisky will help to promote and increase whisky sales.
The course is in English.
The exam (30 question test and practical exercise) is in English.
Duration of the course - 1 day (training - 7 academic hours; exam - 45 minutes)
The training is delivered by Arūnas Starkus, a graduate of the Whisky Ambassador programme and an authorised WSET (Diploma) lecturer.
