Gamybos procesas yra itin kruopštus: vynuogės rankomis atrenkamos, švelniai spaudžiamos, o gauta misa fermentuojama su vietinėmis mielėmis kontroliuojamoje temperatūroje; vėliau vynas 12 mėnesių brandinamas su nuosėdomis 500 litrų prancūziško ąžuolo statinėse, kas suteikia vynui struktūros ir kompleksiškumo.
Aromate dominuoja šviežių citrusinių vaisių, baltų gėlių ir žalių obuolių natos, papildytos subtiliais ąžuolo, vanilės ir minerališkumo niuansais, atspindinčiais kalkakmenio dirvožemio įtaką.
Skonyje vynas yra platus, elegantiškas ir rafinuotas, harmoningai derindamas kompleksiškumą ir gaivumą; burnoje jaučiamas švelnus kreminis pojūtis, kurį papildo gaivi rūgštis ir ilgai išliekantis minerališkas poskonis.
Šis vynas turi potencialą brandintis dar 5–8 metus, laikui bėgant atskleisdamas dar sudėtingesnius sviesto, skrudintų riešutų ir medaus aromatus.

The white 2023 Blanco de Parcela Fuente de las Hontanillas was produced with an unusual blend of Verdejo, Albillo Mayor and Godello grapes matured in barrel for 10 months. It has a little more color but lower alcohol than the previous vintage, denoting contained ripeness and a less warm year with 12.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.39 and 5.76 grams of acidity. It's spicy and smoky and has a fine texture, and it's chalky, tasty and sapid, with a clean finish. 13,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2024.
Fine toast aromas add subtle sweetness, creaminess and white fruit. Lightly chalky and taut, with a full body and concentration. The acidity is high but rather mellow, without sharpness. This is fresh, full and vinous, with a saline tang at the end. Mostly verdejo with some godello and albillo. Drink or hold.
Bodegas Aalto (official name — Aalto Bodegas y Viñedos) was founded in 1999 by two prominent figures in the wine world: Mariano García, long-time technical director at Vega Sicilia, and Javier Zaccagnini, then director of the Ribera del Duero appellation. Their goal was to create wines with a clear individual identity that reflect the diversity of terroirs while achieving maximum complexity and balance.
In 2006, the Masaveu and Nozaleda families—bringing extensive experience in the wine industry—joined the project.
Wines and Strategy
Bodegas Aalto manages approximately 130 hectares of old-vine (40–100 years) ‘Tinto Fino’ (Tempranillo) vineyards, divided into more than 200 individual plots across nine municipalities in the Ribera del Duero region. These sites encompass a wide range of soil types and microclimates, enabling the creation of complex, multi-layered wine blends.
Grapes are grown without herbicides or chemical fertilizers, under strict quality standards, and yields are kept low—resulting in wines of exceptional intensity and concentration.
Winery and Winemaking Philosophy
The winery’s first production facility was leased in Roa (1999–2004). Later, a purpose-built winery was constructed in Quintanilla de Arriba, with the first phase completed in 2005 and a second expansion in 2016. The architecture is modern and minimalist, seamlessly integrated into the surrounding landscape.
Winemaking combines advanced fermentation technologies (stainless steel, concrete, and oak) with a strong focus on grape authenticity and minimal intervention.
