Red dry
This wine is made from Pinot Noir grapes sourced from three parcels in Vosne-Romanée: Combe d'Orveaux, La Croix Blanche, and Les Pâquiers. The palate reveals aromas of cherries, raspberries, pomegranate, and strawberries. Notes of vanilla and oak add further complexity. The flavour is fruit-forward, with pronounced cherry and cranberry accents.
Serve at 14–16 °C with lamb chops or beef tartare. A wild mushroom risotto or lobster would also pair beautifully with this wine.
Domaine Guyon is a prestigious family-owned wine estate located in the heart of Burgundy, in the famous village of Vosne-Romanée. Winemaker Jean-Pierre Guyon is renowned for his unconditional dedication to the terroir and natural winemaking processes, creating highly limited, elegant, and deep Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines.
Philosophy and Organic Farming
Since 2012, all Domaine Guyon vineyards have been officially certified organic. The estate strictly refuses synthetic herbicides and pesticides. The soil is managed using traditional methods to maintain its natural microbiology, and the harvest is always carried out exclusively by hand, carefully selecting the highest quality berries.
Winemaking Methods
Jean-Pierre Guyon's style stands out for minimal intervention combined with solid technical decisions. A 100% whole-cluster fermentation is applied to red wines, giving the drink complex floral aromas and a silky tannin structure. No added sulfites are used during fermentation, and the wines are patiently aged in French oak barrels to achieve a perfect balance between fruitiness and oak spices.
Vineyards and Appellations
The estate owns exceptional plots in the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune regions, including the renowned Vosne-Romanée, Gevrey-Chambertin, Nuits-Saint-Georges, and Echézeaux Grand Cru appellations. Each Domaine Guyon wine thoroughly reflects the unique composition of Burgundy's clay-limestone soil and boasts a remarkable aging potential.
