It is a true pride for collectors.
Read moreOwned by the renowned Domaine Faiveley family since 1874, this nearly 3-hectare vineyard is located on the majestic Corton hill (within the Ladoix-Serrigny commune). The soil is rich in iron, red clay, and limestone. This unique composition imparts a dark, concentrated color to the Pinot Noir, along with abundant tannins and a massive body that distinguishes Corton wines from the more delicate appellations of the Côte de Nuits.
This is a wine that requires time to reveal its secrets:
A wine of such power demands bold, rich meat dishes. It pairs phenomenally with grilled beef, game (venison or wild boar), duck breast, and rich red wine reductions. It also makes an exclusive and impressive gift capable of crowning any serious wine lover's cellar. For a perfect post-dinner pairing, select mature, sharp-flavored French cheeses.
This wine is built for extreme longevity. It is highly recommended to wait at least 10 years after the vintage before opening. It reaches its optimal form and harmony between 15 and 30 years of age.
If you are opening a younger vintage (under 10–15 years), decanting for at least 2 to 3 hours is essential. For fully mature wines, decanting is used solely to separate the natural sediment, preventing the loss of fragile aromas.
