What makes the Marche IGT appellation stand out?

The Marche region is located in central Italy, situated between the Apennine Mountains and the Adriatic coast. The IGT (Indicazione Geografica Tipica) status grants winemakers here significant creative freedom. Unlike the stricter DOC appellations, Marche IGT allows for experimentation with various grape varieties and blending proportions. As a result, you can find very interesting, modern wines in this selection that blend tradition with a contemporary approach to winemaking.

Primary grape varieties

This region boasts a highly favorable climate for both white and dark grapes:

Food pairing guidelines

Due to the wide spectrum of styles, these Italian wines are extremely versatile gastronomic companions. The whites pair wonderfully with seafood, light pasta dishes, and fresh salads. The reds are indispensable alongside classic pizzas, lasagna, tomato-based stews, and Italian cold cuts.

Are Marche IGT wines suitable for long-term cellaring?

The vast majority of wines from this appellation are crafted to be enjoyed immediately. It is best to consume them within the first 1 to 3 years after the harvest while they retain their youthful fruitiness and crispness.

At what temperature is it best to serve them?

Chill the white and rosé wines to 8–10 °C (46–50 °F). We recommend serving the reds slightly cooler than usual (around 15–16 °C or 59–61 °F) to better highlight the fresh berry notes rather than the alcohol.
