Jacquesson Champagne House, founded by Memmie Jacquesson in 1798, stands as one of the very first and historically most significant producers in the Champagne region. The Chiquet brothers, Jean-Hervé and Laurent, who managed Jacquesson until 2022, when the house was acquired by Artemis, part of the Pinault family, brought Jacquesson back to its former glory. It was the Chiquet brothers who introduced a unique and distinctive approach to champagne production: they began crafting non-vintage Jacquesson champagnes primarily based on a single year's harvest. This method aims to express and convey the specific character of that particular year's vintage, which is quite unusual for the Champagne region (though in recent years, more champagne houses are attempting to follow this path).
