Description

This 2010 vintage Armagnac from the "Domaine Clotte de Manon" estate represents the prestigious Bas-Armagnac region, distinguished by its fresh fruitiness and elegant maturity. It is a highly vibrant spirit that perfectly reflects the transitional stage from primary grape aromas to the subtle notes of oak barrels.

The aroma is dominated by fresh plums, peaches, and spring flowers, subtly complemented by hints of vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate, the spirit is round and smooth, boasting a perfectly balanced taste of caramelized fruits and light oak tannins that transition into a long, refreshing finish.

Serve at room temperature in a tulip-shaped glass as an excellent digestif. This Armagnac pairs ideally with fruity desserts, such as peach tart, lemon tartlets, or mild creamy cheeses.

About brand

Darroze in the world of Armagnac stands for far more than quality — it represents a philosophy. It is a family story spanning more than a century and one of the most authentic expressions of the Gascony region.

The story began at the end of the 19th century, when the Darroze family started working with local winegrowers in Gascony. However, it was in the mid-20th century, thanks to Francis Darroze, that the house took on its present identity. He understood that the true value of Armagnac lies not in volume or blending for consistency, but in specific places, soils, vintages, and the human hand behind them.

Darroze Armagnac is never blended to achieve a uniform taste profile. Each bottle reflects a single estate, a single harvest, and a single story. It is a spirit that evolves, matures, and gains complexity with time. For this reason, Darroze is often compared to great wines rather than industrial spirits.

Most Darroze Armagnacs come from the Bas-Armagnac region, considered the most refined and elegant part of the appellation. The sandy and clay-rich soils give the distillates their signature softness, aromatic depth, and long aging potential. Distillation is carried out using the traditional continuous column still, followed by slow, natural maturation in French oak barrels.

Today, Darroze is regarded as one of the most important guardians of traditional Armagnac. Its creations are highly valued by collectors, sommeliers, and spirits enthusiasts around the world.

This is not a mass-produced spirit — it is a living piece of Gascony’s history in a glass.
