Red dry
The 'Grenache' grapes are grown in the Piedlong vineyard at the very heart of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in the northern part of the village, which sits at the highest point of the entire appellation. The 'Mourvèdre' grapes are cultivated in the Pignan lieu-dit, to the east of Piedlong. The average age of the 'Grenache' vines is 70 years, while the 'Mourvèdre' vines are 50 years old. The wine is aged for 20-22 months in large French oak casks.
The wine unfolds with vibrant aromas of raspberries, white pepper, and violets. On the palate, it is substantial yet supple at the same time. Here, notes of ripe cherries and dark chocolate take the lead.
Serve at 16–18 °C with lamb ribs, beef stews or aged hard cheeses.
Tasted just prior to bottling, Piedlong's 2021 Chateauneuf du Pape is a blend of 90% Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre from the lieu-dit of the same name. Scents of roses, red berries and citrus zest appear on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is silky and elegant, with a hint of cracked pepper on the lingering finish.
I love the ripe red plum aroma of this generous and polished 2021. Stacks of fine tannins give it a very sensuous texture that makes it difficult to say no. Very long, velvety finish with excellent spicy complexity. From grenache growing on galet cobblestone soil and a small amount of mourvedre grown on sand that are fermented separately. Drink or hold. "Vignoble Brunier" šiuo metu priklauso keturios vyninės skirtingose apeliacijose. Istorija prasidėjo 1898 m. kai kompanijos įkūrėjas nusipirko vynuogyną Chateauneuf-du-Pape pietryčiuose. Po kiek laiko vyninė gavo "Vieux Telegraph" pavadinimą, o vynai pradėti pardavinėti geriausiose vyno parduotuvėse. "Vignobles Brunier" taip pat priklauso "Domaine Les Pallieres", "La Roquete" bei vyninė Libane "Massaya". http://www.brunier.fr/
