White sweet
Kracher Cuvee Auslese 2025 is an elegant sweet white wine from the Kracher farm in Illmitze, Burgenland, Austria, near Lake Neusiedl. The wine is made from ‘Chardonnay’ and ‘Welschriesling’ grapes. Such a combination in the Kracher style often allows you to combine juicy fruitiness, soft roundness and a lively acid line, so the wine remains not only sweet, but also very transparent in its expression.
In aroma, this wine opens with notes of ripe peach, pineapple and light honey. The smell is not heavy or sticky - rather clean, transparent, fruity, with a subtle sense of sweetness, which immediately indicates the style of the wine, but does not overshadow its freshness.
The wine is juicy and lively: yellow tropical fruits, fresh acidity, soft notes of white fruits and a subtle honey shade are noticeable. The aftertaste is citrusy and refreshing, so the wine maintains a balance between sweetness and freshness, and the overall impression remains light, precise and very pleasant to drink.
The origin of this wine is also important for its character. The Kracher farm is located in the Seewinkel region of Burgenland, near Lake Neusiedl, where a terroir favorable for sweet wines is formed.
Serve at 8°C with poultry liver, Asian cuisine, softer cheeses and light desserts.
The Kracher winery in Austria is located next to Lake Neusiedl. It is one of the few places in the world where practically every year it is possible to grow and harvest a proper harvest affected by noble rot and to produce sweet wines. It is the sweet Kracher wines that have gained worldwide recognition and various titles, the producer himself has been recognized as the winemaker of the year five times, and one of the most famous wine critic Robert Parker rates Kracher wines the highest (the only Austrian wine is rated 100 points!). Kracher wine is characterized by harmony, as the sweetness is offset and balanced by refreshing acids, and the most complex wines are exceptionally long-lasting and become an object of collection.
