Red dry
KRIS Pinot Noir Terre Siciliane IGP 2022 is an exceptional red wine from Italy's warm Sicily, whose character is shaped by the high-altitude climate and volcanic soil. The wine preserves the elegance of the grape while showcasing a bolder, warmer style — close to a Californian 'Pinot Noir', yet with a distinctive Italian flair.
On the nose: rich cherries, ripe strawberries, hints of pomegranate, dried tea and a gentle whisper of tobacco.
On the palate: balanced and softly tannic, with a long-lingering fruity finish and a subtle spice structure.
Aging: in stainless steel tanks, preserving freshness and fruitiness.
Serve at 12–14 °C with roasted or pulled duck with potatoes, pizza, grilled thin pork belly strips with anise or fried sausages.
A nimble pinot with light color and light body, but there’s a deep core of very fresh raspberry and lightly perfumed bark on the nose and palate. Stays fresh from start to finish, making this a very quaffable red. Nicely balanced and even-measured. You might never guess this was from Sicily. Enjoy now. Wednesday, Sep 18, 2024
