White dry
A complex, structured, and long-aging white wine from the Friuli region, made from a blend of 'Pinot Grigio', 'Chardonnay', and 'Sauvignon Blanc' grapes. The wine reflects the terroir of the Isonzo valley, whose calcareous gravel soils give the harvest exceptional concentration and pronounced minerality.
The aromatic palette reveals notes of peaches, yellow apples, pineapples, and white flowers. Due to long aging on the lees, the aroma profile is complemented by subtle nuances of honey and vanilla. On the palate, the wine demonstrates weight, which is balanced by vibrant acidity and a firm mineral axis. The creamy texture ensures depth of flavor and transitions into a long, harmonious finish.
The winemaking process aims for maximum structure and aging potential: after fermentation, the wine is aged for 11–12 months in 500-liter French oak barrels (tonneaux) on fine lees. This is followed by a long additional aging in the bottle.
Serve at a temperature of 10–12 °C. Pairs perfectly with lobster, seafood, richer fish dishes, white meat with creamy sauces, risotto, and medium-aged cheeses.
This is a blend of Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, fermented and aged in oak with frequent stirring of the lees. The Lis Neris 2019 Friuli Isonzo Lis has a mid-weight and creamy texture that supports aromas of peach, sweet melon and creamy custard. The style is bigger and more elaborate, and this opens the wine up to a pairing of pumpkin ravioli with shaved Pecorino cheese. Average production is 25,000 bottles per year.
Lis Neris is one of the most prestigious wineries in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located in the Isonzo area of northeastern Italy. This winery is considered the benchmark of modern Friulian winemaking, renowned for its precise approach to terroir, small yields and extremely precise management of grape expression.
The winery was founded in 1987, and its philosophy is based on the synthesis of international and local varieties, adapted to the character of the Isonzo soils. Lis Neris is particularly famous for its high-class white wines, dominated by Sauvignon Blanc, Friulano, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Riesling.
The winemaking process is based on the principle of small yields, strict selection of berries and an individual approach to each plot.
