White dry
One of the most precise white wines from Domaine Lucien Boillot, reflecting the classic character of Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru – limestone minerality, a defined structure and restrained elegance. “Les Perrières” is considered one of the most distinctive climats of Puligny-Montrachet, where stony limestone soils provide the ‘Chardonnay’ with tension, freshness and ageing potential.
On the nose, it reveals notes of lemon zest, white peach, pear and white flowers, complemented by chalk, wet stone and subtle nutty nuances. In the glass, the wine is defined less by aromatic power and more by precision and mineral clarity.
On the palate, the wine is structured and focused. The character of ripe white fruits is supported by vibrant acidity, limestone minerality and a delicate saline line. The texture remains silky, while freshness and precise balance form the backbone of the wine. The finish is long, with notes of citrus, stone and subtle spice.
The “Les Perrières” vineyard is located within the Puligny-Montrachet appellation, between the famous Montrachet Grand Cru complex to the south and the Meursault Premier Cru vineyards to the north. The name refers to its stony (“pierre”) soils, which are one of the defining characteristics of this terroir.
Domaine Lucien Boillot follows a traditional Burgundian approach, aiming to preserve the character of each individual parcel rather than mask it through winemaking techniques. “Les Perrières” benefits from several years of bottle ageing, when additional layers of nutty, creamy and mineral aromas gradually emerge.
Serve at a temperature of 12–13 °C. Pair with scallops, veal cutlets with a light sauce, or pan-seared trout with herbs.
