Red dry
This is a classic Northern Rhône Syrah. The grapes are grown in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation on south-facing slopes. The wine is aged for 12 months: 85% in concrete tanks to preserve the freshness of the fruit and minerality, and 15% in old oak barrels, which lend the wine consistency, body and aromatic complexity. On the nose, notes of ripe red and black berries (cherry, raspberry, blueberry and prune), violets and spices (vanilla, cloves and white pepper) come through. On the palate, the wine is dry, round-bodied, with refreshing acidity and a long, silky finish.
Serve at 16–18 °C with game, lamb or roast beef dishes, meat stews and hard aged cheeses.
