Maison Peltier Vouvray Traditionnelle Brut

Description

Maison Peltier Vouvray Traditionnelle Brut - a classic sparkling wine made from the Vouvray appellation, made from ‘Chenin Blanc’ grapes.

The aroma reveals notes of citrus, green apples, white peaches and pears, complemented by subtle tones of brioche, toasted bread and white flowers. The wine is fresh, harmonious and elegant - fine bubbles provide creaminess, and the characteristic acidity of ‘Chenin Blanc’ maintains liveliness and a long aftertaste.

The wine is aged on its lees for at least a year after fermentation.

The Vouvray appellation is famous for its limestone tuff soils and the cool climate of the Loire Valley, which allow ‘Chenin Blanc’ to maintain high acidity and mineral character. It is for this reason that Vouvray sparkling wines often have an exceptionally good balance of freshness and texture.

Serving recommendations

It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 6–8 °C. It is perfect as an aperitif, and also goes well with oysters, seafood, soft goat cheeses, light snacks or fruit desserts.

Maison Peltier perfectly reveals the potential of this region, relying on long-standing traditions and creating wines characterized by complexity, freshness, and longevity. By combining classical winemaking with modern quality standards, they ensure that every bottle becomes a celebration.

How to Choose Maison Peltier Wine?

The producer's assortment is dominated by classic styles, perfectly suited for various tastes and occasions:

  • Sparkling wine (Méthode Traditionnelle): Produced using the traditional method, where the second fermentation takes place in the bottle. It features fine, long-lasting bubbles and elegant notes of white flowers, green apples, and citrus.
  • Still white wine: Can range from a completely dry to a slightly sweeter style. These are perfectly balanced wines with a firm acidic backbone and an expressive mineral finish.

What Food Pairs Well with These Wines?

Maison Peltier wines are extremely versatile in gastronomy. Sparkling Vouvray is a perfect aperitif that also pairs flawlessly with oysters, seafood, or light poultry dishes. Still 'Chenin Blanc' wines are an excellent accompaniment to soft goat cheeses, fish in cream sauce, and mildly spicy, Asian-style dishes.
