A red wine from the Côte de Nuits region that reflects Michel Gros’s craftsmanship and the true character of the Nuits-Saint-Georges terroir. This is a wine that unites structure, depth, and elegance, expressing the purity and authenticity of the ‘Pinot Noir’ grape.
On the nose, it opens with aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries, blackberries, and cranberries, accompanied by notes of earth, cedar, nutmeg, pepper, and delicate floral hints. The bouquet is rich yet harmonious, maintaining Burgundy’s hallmark refinement and subtle spiciness.
On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, elegant, and concentrated, with soft tannins and fresh acidity that provide both structure and longevity. The flavor reveals layers of red fruits, cherry liqueur, vanilla, and gentle oak, followed by nuances of earth, mushrooms, and spice, adding depth and complexity. The finish is long, warm, and balanced, with lingering notes of cherries, tobacco, and a touch of smoke.
The grapes are grown in the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation, where clay and limestone soils dominate. Fermentation takes place with natural yeasts, and the wine is aged for 15–18 months in French oak barrels, about 20–25% of which are new.
