These grapes were exceptionally small in this vintage, resulting in a wine with concentrated tannins and deep color. The aroma is intense, marked by notes of blueberries, hard candy, and iodine. On the palate it is weighty yet gently sweet, with beautifully integrated tannins, a distinct mineral edge, excellent structure, smooth texture, and a long, persistent finish.
Pairs well with a variety of cheeses, especially blue cheeses, as well as chocolate desserts or as an aperitif.
