Description

Poliziano Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Asinone 2017, 2018, 2019 collection - a summary of three different wines from the 2017, 2018 and 2019 vintages - this allows you to compare how these legendary Tuscan Sangiovese interpretations differ from each other, while maintaining a high quality standard:

2017 Asinone - elegance and depth of maturity.

Style: rich, full of dark berries, with more subtle nuances of herbs and spices.

Taste: bright tones of raspberries, cherries and blackcurrants, complemented by accents of spices and greens, firm balanced tannins and a refreshing acid line - the wine is still maturing and revealing its complexity.

Character: full-bodied, deep fruit profile, long-lasting and harmonious aftertaste. It becomes even richer and more complex with time.

Overall impression: This vintage has a slightly richer, riper concentration of dark fruit, which, combined with well-integrated tannins, allows the wine to mature and deepen in the bottle.

2018 Asinone – structured and refined.

Aromas: Rich tones of black cherry, red currant and plum, complemented by light nuances of leather, tobacco and vanilla.

Taste: Full and structured, harmoniously balanced fruit intensity with elegant tannins and a mineral aftertaste.

Maturation: Fermented in larger oak tanks and aged for a long time in French oak barrels – this adds depth, but the fruitiness remains.

Overall impression: This is one of the strongest vintages of Asinone, with excellent fruitiness, elegant structure and a long lasting aftertaste.

Ratings: James Suckling – 95; Wine Enthusiast – 92; Wine Spectator – 92 – shows high balance and good aging potential.

2019 Asinone – intense and complex.

Aromas and Taste: Intense, rich aromas of dark berries and dried flowers, complemented by minerals and hints of cocoa.

Structure: Rich body, smooth fruit tones and fertile tannins, which provide a balanced and elegant profile, but do not overload the taste.

Overall impression: 2019 – a great combination of intensity, elegance and maturity potential; this is a wine that already captivates with its complexity and future maturity possibilities.

Ratings: Vinous – 95; Wine Advocate – 94; Falstaff – 93; Wine Spectator – 92 – shows that 2019 is a very strong wine with maturity potential.

Wine Spectator – 92 p. – all indicate that 2019 is a very strong wine with potential for maturity.
