Read moreLed by Federico Carletti, the estate combines ancient Tuscan traditions with innovative viticulture technologies. The main focus is on the local Sangiovese clone (known in the region as Prugnolo Gentile). To achieve maximum concentration and quality, grape yields are strictly limited, and fermentation and aging are carefully controlled in French oak barrels. The result is balanced wines with firm structure and silky tannins.
The producer's calling card is "Vino Nobile di Montepulciano," featuring aromas of dark cherries, plums, violets, and spices. The highest expression of the estate is the single-vineyard (Cru) wine "Asinone," which is produced only in the best vintage years and regularly receives top ratings from wine critics. The assortment also includes an excellent Rosso di Montepulciano, which is lighter and tailored for early drinking.
Classic Tuscan wine is inseparable from hearty, meat-based gastronomy. It pairs perfectly with a Florentine steak (Bistecca alla Fiorentina), wild boar ragù, grilled beef, and aged Pecorino cheeses. For a gourmet evening, we recommend pairing it with delicacies from our wine snacks section.
Are "Poliziano" wines suitable for bottle aging?
Yes, especially the "Vino Nobile" and "Asinone" releases, which boast firm acidity and tannins. The best vintages can beautifully evolve in the cellar for 10–20 years.
