Château Bel Air

1–1 of 1

Château Bel Air is a traditional Bordeaux wine estate located in the Sainte-Croix-du-Mont appellation, renowned for its distinctive Bordeaux Blanc style white wines. The estate has deep roots in the region and today remains an important producer of white Bordeaux wines, crafting expressive and aromatic wines that reflect the unique character of the local terroir.

The soil composition of Château Bel Air is perfectly suited to the philosophy of white Bordeaux winemaking. The vineyards grow on fertile gravel, clay, and limestone soils, which provide the wines with a fresh mineral foundation and structure. These conditions, combined with the microclimate of the Garonne region, allow the grapes to ripen slowly and naturally.

The vineyards are planted with the traditional white Bordeaux varieties: ‘Sauvignon Blanc’, ‘Sémillon’, and ‘Muscadelle’, which, when blended together, give the wines vibrant fruit character, freshness, and aromatic complexity. Dry Bordeaux Blanc wines typically display aromas of citrus fruits, peaches, and floral notes, while some, additionally aged in oak barrels, develop subtle buttery nuances.
