Château Lafite Rothschild is one of the most famous and prestigious Bordeaux wine estates in the world, located in the Pauillac appellation of the Médoc region. For several centuries, this name has been regarded as the ultimate benchmark of classic Bordeaux wine, symbolizing elegance, longevity, and impeccable quality.
The history of the estate dates back to the 17th century, and by the 18th century Lafite wines were already highly prized in European royal courts. The winemaking philosophy of Château Lafite Rothschild is based on meticulous vineyard work and deep respect for the character of the land. Harvesting is carried out by hand, and each parcel is vinified separately in order to reveal its individual expression. After fermentation, the wines are aged in French oak barrels, a significant proportion of which are new. The aging process is long and carefully controlled, resulting in complex, harmonious, and exceptionally long-lived wines.
Château Lafite Rothschild wines are renowned for their refined aromatic profile, dominated by notes of blackcurrant, cedar, tobacco, graphite, and spices. Their texture is silky, the tannins are extraordinarily precise, and the structure is firm yet never aggressive.
