Read moreAlthough the estate was founded only in 2004, it rapidly became one of the most sought-after in Italy. The winemaker's secret is old, 60–90-year-old vines grown in the traditional alberello (bush) method. Yields are drastically reduced, allowing the berries to accumulate a maximum amount of flavor and sugar. The result is viscous, powerful (often reaching 16% ABV or more), yet ideally balanced wines.
The estate's calling card is "Es," made from Primitivo grapes. It is a highly complex beverage featuring aromas of sweet cherry jam, dark chocolate, licorice, and spices. Meanwhile, "Jo," crafted from Negroamaro, offers slightly more freshness and elegance, revealing balsamic and Mediterranean herb notes.
A beverage of this intensity demands very rich food. It pairs perfectly with slow-braised beef, venison with dark berry sauce, and strong, aged cheeses. When enjoying it after dinner (as a meditation wine), we suggest pairing it with high-quality dark chocolate from our wine snacks section.
Is it necessary to decant these wines?
Yes, due to their massive concentration, we recommend decanting "Es" and "Jo" for at least 1–2 hours to allow all flavor layers to unfold and the wine to "breathe."
Who is this producer best gifted to?
This is a highly luxurious gift intended for true gourmets, collectors, and fans of rich, powerful Italian wines (such as Amarone).
