White dry
A white wine by the renowned Alsace producer Bott-Geyl, crafted from a traditional Alsatian grape blend (harmoniously intertwining the 'Muscat', 'Riesling', 'Pinot Blanc', and 'Chasselas' varieties). The wine is produced following the principles of biodynamic viticulture and is fully certified.
In the glass, it reveals spring-like aromas of delicate white flowers, fresh pears, peaches, and citrus fruits (especially tangerine peel). This refreshing introduction leads to a light, dry, and exceptionally elegant palate. It is dominated by a pure and subtle fruitiness paired with a vibrant acidity, creating a clean, juicy, and slightly mineral finish.
The grapes for this wine are exclusively hand-harvested from carefully selected vineyards located around the village of Beblenheim. During the production process, the winemakers of Domaine Bott-Geyl masterfully combine old Alsatian blending traditions with modern methods.
After fermentation with native yeasts, the wine is aged briefly on its fine lees (sur lie) in stainless steel tanks.
Serve at 8-10 °C with grilled chicken with sezame seeds, poultry, softer cheeses.
Jean-Christophe Bott is heir to the family tradition dating back to 1795, when his ancestor, Jean-Martin Geyl tended his vines and made his wine. Jean-Christophe Bott has been responsible for Domaine Bott-Geyl since 1993 and he converted the vineyards to be organic in 2000 and then biodynamic in 2002. In the vineyards he concentrates on low yields and in the cellars he oversees the vinification in the most natural and minimalist manner. The whole art is to bring together tradition and modernity, to perpetuate the vignoble for posterity and to protect its ecology.
